Understanding Homelessness and Poverty In Communities

Have you ever wondered why some people are so passionate about helping the homeless and poverty stricken? Our nation's economic turmoil has taken its toll on our communities and thousands of hard-working people continue to live in poverty.  Much of the problem stems from inability of the working poor to earn living wages and the lack of affordable housing; while other factors weigh in from those experiencing long-term poverty and homelessness with no feasible plans to get back on the path of self sufficiency. There are viable, sound solutions; they all begin in the mind. One only succeeds when they decide to make conscience decision to change or tread the path that leads to change.

We are in our fundraising phases of implementing our S.A.I.L. Program which will allow us to provide a desperately needed phased housing program for homeless elderly seniors and veterans aged 60+. Every breathing LIFE matters, regardless the age or stage! Our S.A.I.L. Program pilot endeavors to create transitional to permanent supportive housing to allow them to age in a safe place, with shelter, healthcare and resources to help them thrive at their respective stages in life . Your financial support towards our program goal will allow us to acquire and/or repurpose a multi-unit facility to help the elderly homeless that are literally living on the streets amiss our homeless populations, struggling without basic human needs in the golden years.

We need your support to create a safe, stable environment for the elderly homeless population that has been overlooked and forgotten. Ask yourself would you want to feel discarded and neglected as you grow older. One thing is for sure, life, time and age happens to us all and doesn't discriminate. They deserve a sustainable plan of action to move forward during their final quarter of life with dignity and peace.

Make your Donation Here, securely online to our Capital Campaign. Your support today will help an elderly man or woman feeling forsaken, live out the remainder of their days vibrant, cared for and whole.
